Stitching in public
I often stitch in public. I will take my stitching to appointments, baseball games, and to the lunch-time poker game. I’ll stitch pretty much anytime I’m going to have idle hands for an extended period of time. Last week, I attended a software training event, and I decided to knit instead of [...]

It’s not easy being green
I was very productive over the weekend. I painted, I stitched, I went to the grocery store. I also did a couple of things in the garden. I bought two rose plants (they’re not big enough to be bushes) at the grocery store and planted them when I got home.

Happy Pi Day!
Happy Pi Day! The best pie around here is from the House of Pies. My favorite flavors are: chocolate, lemon meringue, key lime, and strawberry. I don’t eat apple pie or pecan pie. I’ve had a pie stitching idea rumbling in my brain for a while, maybe I’ll sketch it out [...]

A cold front came through and the temps dropped to the thirties! I know other parts of the country got snow, so it is/was colder, but this is Houston! In March! The crepe myrtels are starting to sprout, the robins are [...]

March Madness
And I’m not talking about basketball!
Here’s the scoop:
Three designs out at model stitchers (well, one might be hung up at the Canadian Border, but hopefully it will reach its destination soon)
One design about to go out to a model stitcher
Two projects I’m working on (one complimentary design, so small, and another small design)
One design done [...]

In Like a Lion
Sunday, the south winds blew and I thought it was Spring already. Monday the front came through, the wind shifted to the north, and brrrr – winter is back!
Here’s another sign of spring:
Live crawfish at the grocery store! I remember hunting for crawfish in the back yard. They built little mud towers [...]
